Peskov: Russia regrets the closure of the Russian House in Baku

The Kremlin regrets the closure of the Russian House in Baku, considering it a misunderstanding, and hopes to resolve the situation, Spokesperson for Russian President Dmitry Peskov said at a press briefing.

“We regret this situation. We believe it is a misunderstanding that can be resolved,” he noted.

Peskov noted that Moscow will discuss the matter of the organization’s operations with its partners in Baku at various levels, possibly even at the highest level. The parties will address the situation based on their good relations, he added.

Yevgeny Primakov, Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, announced earlier that the Azerbaijani authorities had demanded the closure of the Russian House operating in Baku due to the lack of legal registration.
