Iran and Belarus agree to expand cooperation in defense sector

During a meeting, Iranian Defense Minister Gen. Aziz Nasirzadeh and Dmitry Pantus, Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus, emphasized the importance of developing defense and industrial cooperation. The sides discussed the course of implementing previously signed agreements between the two countries in the fields of defense and industry.

Highlighting Iran’s potential in the military-industrial sector, Gen. Nasirzadeh expressed readiness to deepen cooperation and transfer advanced technologies. He also noted that the implementation of previously signed agreements plays a key role in strengthening strategic cooperation between the two states.

Pantus expressed satisfaction with the growing cooperation between the two countries and underscored the necessity of accelerating the implementation of joint projects and developing cooperation in the production of military equipment and modern technologies.
