Overchuk: The deterioration of relations between Baku and Yerevan slows the unblocking process
The deterioration of relations between Armenia and
Azerbaijan badly affects the activities of the Russian, Armenian and
Azerbaijani tripartite working group on the unblocking of transport links in
the South Caucasus. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said this.
“Of course, any kind of escalation badly affects our
activities; the overall process drags on, and it takes time to get back to
negotiations. Talks have not broken down; they continue,” the Russian deputy
prime minister said.
According to Overchuk, the next meeting between the Russian,
Armenian and Azerbaijani deputy prime ministers will take place when conditions
are favorable.
