
Erdoğan informs Putin of Ankara’s willingness to host talks on Ukraine
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin have had a phone call. During the conversation, Erdoğan discussed the situation in Ukraine and expressed Ankara’s readiness to host negotiations.
Erdoğan also noted that Turkey is contributing to preventing the Black Sea from becoming a conflict zone.
The Turkish leader added that Ankara places great importance on cooperation with Russia regarding Syria and has expressed support for joint efforts by Russia and Turkey to ensure peace and stability in Syria.
