Iranian president: Iran’s membership in the BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation will help the Islamic Republic to reduce the effects of western sanctions

Iran’s membership in the BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation
Organisation (SCO) will help the Islamic Republic to reduce the negative
effects of western sanctions. As Armenpress learnt from TASS, Iranian President
Ebrahim Raisi said this.

“Our membership in the BRICS global alliance and the
regional Shanghai Cooperation Organisation can play a significant role in
holding out against U.S. sanctions. Iran’s economic capacity will help the two
organizations strengthen their positions in the international arena,” Raisi
said in his press conference in Tehran.
