Moldova to leave CIS in April next year
Moldova will withdraw from the CIS on April 8, 2027, Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi has announced, according to lenta.ru.
Under CIS statutory documents, Chișinău is expected to leave the organization within a one-year period.
Earlier, Popșoi questioned the necessity of paying the country’s multi-million-dollar debt to the CIS, citing the alleged lack of benefits for Chișinău from membership in the organization.
