Diplomatic mess. The EU eventually admitted that Azerbaijan fired at its observer mission
In the run-up to the U.N. Security Council session on
Artsakh, Baku resorted to another military provocation along the border with
Armenia. This time, their target was the EU monitors patrolling near Verin
Shorzha.
The EU Mission in Armenia first dined the RA MoD report on
the incident. However, their denial made things awkward, when a video appeared
on the social media with one of the EU monitors clearly showing how and in what
direction the Azerbaijani Armed Forces had fired.
In order to rectify the awkward situation, the EUMA
confirmed, after all, that there were shootings in the direction of the EU
patrols and their vehicle.
No casualties were reported.
