Ararat Mirzoyan: Armenia does not have the authority to discuss issues regarding the transportation of cargo via any route other than the Lachin corridor

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirozyan referred to
Azerbaijan’s claims that during the latest tripartite meeting in Brussels, the
Armenian Foreign Minister, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister and the President
of the European Council agreed on transporting cargo to Nagorno-Karabakh via
other routes.

Mirzoyan said that Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan reached an
agreement on the Lachin corridor under the tripartite statement of November 9,
2020. He noted that the statement of November 9 bears the signatures of the
above-mentioned three leaders.

“We reaffirm our strong position that the illegal
blockade of the Lachin corridor must be lifted, and the regime introduced by
the tripartite statement of November 9 must be restored. The Republic of
Armenia does not have the authority to discuss issues regarding other routes
for cargo transportation to Nagorno-Karabakh and cannot do that,” Mirzoyan
noted.

“In this regard, we would like to once again make a
reference to the Feb. 22, 2023 and the July 6, 2023 legally binding orders of
the International Court of Justice (ICJ) of the United Nations. These orders
undeniably reaffirm our position,” Ararat Mirzoyan noted.
