The mandate of EU Special Representative for the South
Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar is extended.
Klaar’s mandate is extended for one year, until Aug. 31,
2024.
He was appointed EUSR for the South Caucasus and the crisis
in Georgia on Nov. 13, 2017. His task is to contribute to a peaceful settlement
of conflicts in the region, as well as to encourage regional cooperation
between Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia and, as appropriate, their neighboring
countries.
