EU Special Representative Toivo Klaar made a Twitter post, referring to the incident that happened in Artsakh yesterday.
To remind, yesterday Azerbaijan had first restored gas supply to Artsakh, then again blocked the gas pipeline valve, which is under its control.
“A day that began with promise again ended in disappointment. As reiterated many times by the EU, it is crucial that the flow of energy supplies be restored without restrictions, as well as the movement of people and goods via the Lachin corridor, ” the EU official wrote.
He also referred to the necessity of the Baku-Stepanakert dialogue, stating that it should start with the aim of providing alternatives to violence, building much-needed confidence and ensuring dignity.
Toivo Klaar noted that the EU looks forward to the upcoming trilateral Brussels meeting with Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders.
