Russia called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to refrain from aggravating the situation. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said this at today’s press briefing, commenting on the incident that took place on May 11-12 in Sotk village on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“Currently, the situation has stabilized. We call on Armenia and Azerbaijan to refrain from aggravating the situation. We believe that all controversial issues should be resolved by political and diplomatic means. We intend to contribute to it in every possible way, including the tripartite meetings scheduled for May 19, which I have already announced,” he said.
