Turkey bans access to online platforms for under-15s
The Parliament of Turkey has approved an initiative restricting minors’ access to popular online platforms, requiring service providers to ensure a safe digital environment, Reuters writes.
Turkish lawmakers have passed a law prohibiting children under the age of 15 from using social media.
The initiative was introduced by a group of 70 members of the ruling alliance.
The new law requires internet service providers to block access for teenagers under 15 and to create a separate, safe online environment for children above that age, isolated from content intended for adults.
