CSTO member states consider Armenia an ally in the organization: Secretary General

CSTO member states consider Armenia an ally in the organization, Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov told RIA Novosti.

“From the very beginning, Armenia has been an active and harmonious member state, making a worthy contribution to strengthening collective potential, and CSTO member states continue to view this country as an ally in the organization,” Masadykov said.

Earlier, Russian Permanent Representative to the CSTO Viktor Vasilyev told RIA Novosti that the decision to strip Armenia of voting rights in CSTO would require consensus. He stated that the next session of the CSTO Collective Security Council would be held in Moscow on November 11, and the leaders would likely discuss the issue.
