US offers to lift sanctions on Iran in exchange for reopening Strait of Hormuz, Al Hadath says

The United States has offered, through intermediaries, to lift sanctions and end its economic blockade of Iran in exchange for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, Al Hadath reports, citing sources.

According to the sources, Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir, conveyed the proposal to the Iranian side during a visit to the Islamic Republic.

Munir also urged Tehran to resume work on the memorandum of understanding and reiterated that Islamabad was not taking sides in the conflict.
