Defense Minister: Israel will not restrain itself in the event of any attack from Iran

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that his country will not restrain itself in the event of an attack from Iran and will attack, among other things, the Islamic Republic’s energy facilities.

He made this statement at a meeting with Defense Ministry staff on the occasion of the upcoming Rosh Hashanah holiday, the Jewish New Year. “We see signs that the intense economic pressure on Iran and the fear of an uprising and regime collapse could push them to desperate measures,” Katz asserted.

Regarding the possibility of attacking Israel by Iran, the minister threatened harsh retaliatory measures. “An Iranian attack toward Israel would free us from any constraints, we would strike all infrastructure, including energy infrastructure, and return Iran to the Stone Age and darkness,” he stated.
