Peskov: The issue of choosing between Armenia’s European and Eurasian orientation to be central at upcoming talks between Pashinyan and Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed with Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting in Bishkek that the latter will visit Moscow in the near future. This was stated by Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov during a briefing, as reported by ТАСС.

“Putin himself invited Pashinyan to Moscow, and Pashinyan accepted this invitation and said he would come soon,” Peskov noted.

According to him, the exact dates of this visit will be coordinated through diplomatic channels, taking into account the working schedules of the heads of states.

The issue of choosing between Armenia’s European and Eurasian orientation will become central during the upcoming talks.

The leaders of the countries “will have the opportunity to discuss the main topic thoroughly from all angles,” he noticed. “After all, this is the topic of choosing the direction of development, Armenia’s orientation, and the topic of holding a relevant referendum,” the Kremlin representative added.
