Bayramov: Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to carry out delimitation work from the northern border toward the south

Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to carry out delimitation work from the northern border toward the south, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists.

According to him, Armenia and Azerbaijan have reached an agreement to conduct the process of delimitation of the state border from north to south, starting from the point where the borders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia intersect.

“The composition of the State Commission on Delimitation remains unchanged. The commission is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Shahin Mustafayev. Meetings of the commissions are held regularly and discussions are conducted. In Armenia, the relevant commission is also headed by the Deputy Prime Minister,” Jeyhun Bayramov noted.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that numerous meetings have been held between the commissions of the two countries over the past period, and a number of documents regulating the activities of the commissions have been adopted and approved in both Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that more specific issues will be discussed during the work of the delimitation commissions and are expected to be resolved: “As for more specific details, naturally, all issues will be discussed as the time comes, and they are also expected to be resolved. Issues related to certain settlements will be discussed within the framework of the work of the delimitation commission.”
