Likhachev: Rosatom is working with Armenia on the “Nairit” project

Rosatom is working with Armenia on the “Nairit” project (remediation of the environmental legacy left by the “Nairit” synthetic rubber plant), Alexey Likhachev, CEO of the state corporation, stated during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We are working with our Armenian partners on the ‘’Nairit’’ project, and I hope we will also be able to provide assistance,” Likhachev said.

In addition, Likhachev noted that work at the Armenian NPP is ongoing. “We cannot leave Armenia out, because we are extending the operational life of the plant. The leadership there will decide which path to take, but we maintain our presence,” Likhachev said.
