Azerbaijan and the US discussed the peace process between Yerevan and Baku

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephone conversation to discuss the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations, as well as the normalization process between Yerevan and Baku.

Bayramov and Rubio emphasized the importance of the working groups focusing on the priority areas outlined in the US-Azerbaijan Strategic Partnership Charter, signed in February 2026.

Bayramov briefed the US side ''on Azerbaijan's steps toward advancing the peace agenda with Armenia, building confidence, and ensuring regional stability''.
