Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and China discuss normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who arrived in Azerbaijan on a working visit to participate in the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

Jeyhun Bayramov briefed his counterpart on the new realities that have emerged in the region during the post-conflict period, as well as the peace and normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Following the discussions, an exchange of views took place on other issues of mutual interest on the regional and international agenda.

The Foreign Ministers also discussed opportunities for deepening cooperation in trade and economic relations, investment, energy, transport, logistics, and communications. The growing importance of the Middle Corridor in strengthening regional and interregional connectivity was specifically emphasized.
