Lavrov: I propose holding the next "3+3" format meeting in Azerbaijan, and the subsequent one in Yerevan
Russia believes that the next "3+3" format meeting (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Russia, Turkey, and Iran) could be held in Azerbaijan. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, TASS reports..
"We have met several times, and now we are waiting for Armenia and Azerbaijan to agree on who will next host the meeting of the foreign ministers of this group. I believe that we could hold the upcoming meeting in Azerbaijan, and then the next one in Yerevan. That would be the right thing to do," said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to him, this format is comprehensive and is not dedicated to any single project planned for implementation outside the pan-regional context. "Therefore, we actively support the "3+3" format proposed by Azerbaijan and Turkey," the Minister stated.
