Abbas Araghchi: We trust the Armenians and know they will not take any action against Iran’s security

Iran is confident that Armenia will not take any action against Tehran's security. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated this on the sidelines of COP17 in Yerevan, commenting on the implementation of the "Trump Route" (TRIPP).

"We are in close contact with our Armenian friends; we trust them and know that they will not take any action against Iran’s security. Therefore, we are continuing our consultations with the Armenian authorities. As you know, my very good friend, the Foreign Minister of Armenia, was in Tehran, where we had good consultations. And today, our President will meet with Prime Minister Pashinyan—perhaps for the second time in the last two weeks. So, we are maintaining close contact," said the Iranian Foreign Minister.
