Novak: Russia to ship first diesel tanker to the US tomorrow

The first tanker carrying 40,000 metric tons of Russian diesel fuel will depart for the United States tomorrow, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said, according to TASS.

"Subsequent shipments will certainly follow. As agreed by the two leaders, we will meet the US demand to the extent of our capabilities," he stated.

According to Novak, the signing of supply contracts between Russia and the US is in its final stages. He added that other countries will also be able to receive Russian diesel toward the end of the year, and Moscow could fully restore its diesel export volumes by year-end.
