Karasin: Armenia faces major challenges and political intrigues imposed by its leadership
Armenia is facing major challenges and numerous political intrigues imposed by its current leadership, Grigory Karasin, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council’s Committee on International Affairs, said, according to Lenta.ru.
According to him, it is impossible for Armenia to pursue membership in both the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) simultaneously.
“It seems that Pashinyan considers himself very intelligent, flexible and cunning. In reality, his decisions point to a rather limited outlook and a poor vision for his country's future. You cannot play two instruments at once or be a member of two organizations — the European Union and the EAEU,” Karasin said.
He added that Pashinyan would soon have to make a final choice and then answer to the Armenian people for that decision.
