Turkish law enforcement officers have arrested 17 suspects in Istanbul who are suspected of being connected to a banned terrorist group; another 10 people are wanted, TRT Haber state TV channel reports.
“Within the framework of the investigation of the Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Bureau under the General Prosecutor’s Office of Istanbul, a decision has been made to arrest 27 suspects, on whom intelligence information has been received that they cooperate with the terrorist group Islamic State,” the TV channel says․
As a result of police operations, 17 suspects have been detained, 10 are wanted.
