Russia’s representative to OSCE: It is up to Yerevan and Baku to decide if the OSCE activities are needed now

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich told TASS that the organization’s role in the settlement of the Artsakh issue has been significantly reduced by the efforts of Washington and Paris, which refused to be engaged in the issue in 2022.

“Now, when the situation “on the ground” has changed significantly, and Armenia recognized Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan, the OSCE is trying to integrate into the process of regulating relations between the two countries. It is up to Baku and Yerevan to decide whether it is needed or not. Russia, which, let me remind you, halted the bloodshed in 2020, has never stopped supporting Azerbaijan and Armenia in finding compromises over all problematic issues and will continue to do so,” the official noted.
