Netanyahu: We have achieved remarkable success and have passed the outskirts of Gaza City

The Israel Defense Forces have announced that they have
encircled Gaza City and are making strikes on the Hamas positions. As
Armenpress writes, Reuters reported this. 

After announcing the siege of the largest and most densely
populated city in the Gaza Strip, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
confirmed that fighting is going on there.

“Fighting there is in full swing. We have achieved
remarkable success and have passed the outskirts of Gaza City. We are
advancing,” Netanyahu said.

As Chief of Israel’s military engineers Brig. Gen. Iddo
Mizrahi said, Hamas has prepared well, and Israeli servicemen are facing
multiple mines and booby traps on their way.
