Villages inhabited by Azerbaijanis flooded in Georgia
Heavy rains have seriously damaged Marneuli and Bolnisi provinces of Georgia, where the majority of the population are Azerbaijanis.
Because of heavy rainfall, the Debed and Khrami rivers overflowed their banks. As a result, communication lines and road infrastructure have been damaged; basements of houses and agricultural farms have been flooded.
As a result of the floods, bridges have been destroyed; gas pipelines and electricity lines have been damaged in a number of settlements.
