People killed and injured in floods in Lori

Early reports say two people have been killed and two injured in the floods in Lori Province, Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan noted.

According to him, what has happened is a big natural disaster, which has already caused great damage.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reports that the search and rescue operations are underway. Rescuers and other involved forces have evacuated 190 people from different settlements in Lori and Tavush provinces; the rescuers have saved 73 people.

To remind, the Debed River overflowed its banks on the night of May 26, causing a disaster in Lori and Tavush provinces. The river, which burst its banks, swept away everything in its path.
