
Tehran airspace to close during farewell ceremony for Ali Khamenei
Tehran’s airspace will be closed on Monday during the farewell ceremony for former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, RIA Novosti writes, citing the head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, Abuzar Shiroudi.
“On Monday, during the farewell ceremony for the late Supreme Leader, Tehran’s airspace will be completely closed, and no flights will operate,” Iran’s state broadcaster quoted Shiroudi as saying.
The farewell ceremonies and funeral for former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei will take place from July 4 to 9. Farewell ceremonies are scheduled to be held in Tehran from July 4 to 6, in Qom on July 7, and the funeral will take place in Mashhad on July 9.
