Assad announces conditions under which he is ready to meet with Turkish president

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said he is ready to meet with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan if the meeting acts in the national interests of Syria, RIA Novosti writes.

“If the meeting is in the interests of the country, then I will hold it,” Assad said in response to the journalists’ questions about a potential meeting with Erdogan.
