The 2024 U.N. Climate Change Conference, i.e., COP29, will take place in Baku. Azerbaijanis expect the presence of government delegations and journalists from different parts of the world. They are sure that on those days, from Nov. 11 to Nov. 22, Baku will become the center of the world. While Azerbaijan is expecting 70,000 to 80,000 guests, everyone in Armenia and the Diaspora unanimously claims that COP29 is a way for Azerbaijan to clear its name.
For Armenia, the forum is a good opportunity to raise issues related to the military and political prisoners of Artsakh, the persons held prisoner in Baku, and the genocidal policy of Azerbaijan carried out in Artsakh, Special Project Manager at Armenian National Committee-International Gevorg Ghukasyan said.
