Netanyahu advises ICC to issue arrest warrants for Turkish and Palestinian leaders
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has urged the International Criminal Court in The Hague to issue arrest warrants for the presidents of Turkey and Palestine instead of prosecuting Israel’s democratically elected leaders, RIA Novosti writes.
“ICC Prosecutor Karim Ahmad Khan met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan—known for killing Kurdish civilians and imprisoning journalists—and with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who denies the Holocaust and pays terrorists to kill Jews. Instead of issuing arrest warrants for Erdogan and Abbas for war crimes, Khan continues to portray Israel’s democratically elected leaders as war criminals while they are waging a just war against terrorists,” Netanyahu said.
