Trump: $30 billion spent on military operations against Iran is a mere trifle

US President Donald Trump said he considers the $30 billion spent on the military operation against Iran to be a mere trifle․

“I was listening to a very stupid congressman talking about the $30 billion spent on the war with Iran. We’ve made many times more than that from Venezuela,” Trump said.

Trump also said that the United States was dealing with Iran from a position of strength and expressed confidence that a diplomatic resolution was possible. According to him, there is a “very good chance” of reaching a deal with Iran.
