Macron and Tokayev support Yerevan-Baku peace treaty early conclusion
The presidents of France and Kazakhstan expressed their full support for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the conclusion of a peace treaty as soon as possible, Emmanuel Macron and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said in a statement about strengthening strategic partnership. The statement was made on the margins of the Kazakh president’s visit to Paris.
Macron and Tokayev noted that a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku will allow the establishment of a just and stable peace in the region, respecting the territorial integrity of both states and the 1991 Declaration of Alma-Ata. The presidents emphasized the importance of stability in the South Caucasus for the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
