
World leaders respond to India’s strikes on Pakistani targets

A spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry described India’s military action in Pakistan as “unfortunate” and called on both countries to “exercise restraint and prioritize peace and stability.”
A spokesperson for the U.N. secretary-general said António Guterres is concerned about India’s military operations and urges both nations to exercise maximum restraint.
The chief Cabinet secretary of Japan condemned the terror attack that took place in Kashmir on April 22 and expressed concern that the current situation could escalate into a large-scale military conflict. Tokyo called on both sides to “stabilize the situation through dialogue.”
Meanwhile, Israel’s ambassador to India stated that Israel supports India’s right to self-defense. He noted that “terrorists should have no place to hide from their disgusting attacks on innocent people.”
According to the latest reports, 26 people have been killed in Pakistan due to Indian strikes, with 46 injured. In India, Pakistan’s retaliatory strikes resulted in 10 deaths and 48 injuries.
