“State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan reported on the deepening
humanitarian crisis in the Republic as a result of Azerbaijan’s aggressive
actions.
President Arayik Harutyunyan noted that the efforts made in
the field of foreign affairs and the calls from various states and
international organizations regarding the unblocking of the corridor linking
Artsakh with Armenia have not shown any positive results. And this holds true
both for breaking the blockade of Artsakh and restraining Azerbaijan’s
ambitions. Thus, it becomes imperative that we work harder and in a targeted
manner.
Given the situation, President Harutyunyan issued a number
of instructions on reallocating the existing resources and on working towards
ways of addressing the security issues to ensure the normal functioning of the
Republic,” reads the report.
President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan convened
a Security Council meeting on July 13. Measures taken to address the deepening
impacts of the total blockade of Artsakh were discussed during the meeting, the
press service of the president of the Republic of Artsakh reports.
