US-Iran talks scheduled in Switzerland canceled
The US-Iran talks scheduled to take place in Switzerland on June 19 will not go ahead, Reuters reports, citing Switzerland’s foreign ministry.
The ministry did not disclose the reason for the cancellation and did not provide a possible new date for the talks.
Earlier, it was reported that, as part of efforts to continue negotiations on ending the war in Switzerland, the Iranian delegation was led by Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, while the US delegation was headed by JD Vance.
The White House had previously said that the visit was canceled due to logistical issues.
