Macron holds phone call with Iran’s Pezeshkian
French President Emmanuel Macron held a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian, he announced on X.
“I spoke with the President of Iran and expressed my deep concern over the ongoing escalation, and condemned the unjustified attacks against civilian infrastructure in the UAE and several ships,” Macron wrote.
According to him, all sides must immediately lift the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
“I urged the President of Iran to take advantage of this opportunity, and I intend to discuss the matter with President Donald Trump,” he added.
