Peskov: Pashinyan’s visit to Russia to take place in the near future
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Russia will take place in the near future, a deputy press secretary to Russian President told РИА Новости.
“There are no exact dates yet,” he said.
At the same time, Peskov clarified that the visit will take place this year.
On September 1, Vladimir Putin held talks with Pashinyan on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Bishkek. The main topic was Yerevan’s plans to join the European Union. The Russian president reminded that simultaneous membership in the EAEU and the EU is impossible and once again called for holding a referendum in the republic to close the issue. Following the meeting, he invited the Armenian prime minister to Moscow to discuss specific issues of bilateral cooperation.
