Macron suggests uniting EU, Western Balkans and Caucasus electricity grids
French President Emmanuel Macron has said it is necessary to unite the electricity grids of the EU with the ones of the Western Balkans and the Caucasus. He also suggested cooperation in the field of nuclear waste. Macron said this at the international Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels.
“We must work together to create electricity grids and ensure their interconnection. This will be a turning point in obtaining inexpensive electricity. The EU, the Western Balkans and the Caucasus should be in a single network, and investments should be made to make this happen,” Macron said.
