Israel Defense Forces announce killing of Hezbollah Central Council member Nabil Kauk
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the killing of Nabil Kauk, a member of the Central Council of Hezbollah. He was killed on Sept. 28 in an Israeli airstrike, Kommersant writes.
Al Hadath TV Channel reported yesterday that Nabil Kauk was the target of Israel’s attack on Beirut on Saturday. Then the IDF launched a rocket attack on Shiyakh district, where one of the offices of the Lebanese group is located. Hezbollah has yet to comment on the death of a senior member of the group.
Sheikh Nabil Kauk is one of the central figures of the group’s leadership. According to the Israeli army, he was responsible for coordinating a number of military operations, was the commander of a preventive security unit, and was also involved in the ideological leadership of Hezbollah.
