Russian Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Grigory Karasin met with Armenian Ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan. During the meeting, the current state of Armenian-Russian relations was discussed, and an intention to contribute to their development was announced. Karasin emphasized the alliance nature of relations between Russia and Armenia, which should be strengthened for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
According to the official, parliamentarians are called to maintain a healthy atmosphere of bilateral relations and are always ready for dialogue. During the meeting, the importance of regular contacts between the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia through the inter-parliamentary cooperation commission was noted. The parties agreed to continue cooperation and regularly exchange opinions on bilateral relations and regional security issues.
