Zakharova: Armenia actively participated in drafting the statement accepted by the CIS foreign ministers, but did not sign it

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova referred to the fact that Armenia did not join the statement on the “Principles of Security in Eurasia” on the margins of the session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS in Moscow.

Zakharova noted that Armenia actively participated in the drafting of the statement, presented proposals, many of which were taken into account. But at the same time, at the session of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers, the Armenian foreign minister did not sign the document.

“And he had better answer why,” Zakharova said.
