France takes into account Azerbaijan’s decision to declare two employees of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan “persona non grata”, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
In response, France has declared two Azerbaijani diplomats persona non grata.
“France flatly rejects the accusations that Azerbaijan makes to justify its decision of declaring two French diplomats persona non grata,” the French Foreign Ministry noted.
To remind, earlier, the French Ambassador to Azerbaijan had been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be informed that two employees of the French embassy had been recognized persona non grata “for being engaged in activities inconsistent with their diplomatic status”. They had been demanded to leave Azerbaijan within 48 hours.
