
Devastating tornadoes strike US killing dozens
Tornadoes have ravaged central and southern states in the U.S., resulting in at least 33 deaths. The state of Missouri has been particularly hard hit, with at least 12 recorded deaths.
In Kansas, at least eight people died due to a 50-vehicle pileup caused by a severe dust storm.
One fatality was reported in Oklahoma, while three people lost their lives in a car accident in Amarillo, Texas, also related to a dust storm, according to CBS.
Officials in Mississippi have confirmed six deaths due to the storm in the counties of Walthall, Covington, and Jefferson Davis.
