Peskov: Russia does not agree with Pashinyan’s observations and is not going to leave the region

Spokesperson for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov said
that Russia appreciates constructive relationships with Armenia. However, they
cannot agree with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s observations
regarding the failure of the Russian peacekeepers’ mission. RIA Novosti wrote
this, referring to Pashinyan’s interview with the Italian daily newspaper La
Repubblica. In his interview, Pashinyan allowed for the possibility of Russia
leaving the region.

“Russia forms an inseparable part of this region. Thus, it
cannot leave the region,” Peskov said to journalists.

Peskov underlined the fact that “there are more Armenians
living in Russia than in Armenia”. The majority of these people are Russian
citizens and make a substantial contribution to the development of the country.
