Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has relieved Defense
Minister Oleksii Reznikov of his post. Head of the State Property Fund of
Ukraine Rustem Umerov will fill the post if the Verkhovna Rada supports his candidacy.
“Oleksii Reznikov has gone through more than 550 days
of full-scale war. I think that the ministry now needs new approaches and other
formats of interaction with both the military and the public in general,”
the Ukrainian president said.
He expressed hope that the Verkhovna Rada will support
Umerov’s candidacy.
