Humanitarian aid at the expense of dignity is unacceptable: Artsakh NGOs respond to Charles Michel
A number of non-governmental organizations operating in
Artsakh turned to the representatives of the European civil society with a
statement. They find the statement of the President of the European Council,
Charles Michel, unacceptable.
The European official presented Azerbaijan’s proposal to
consider the Aghdam-Stepanakert road for providing the people of Artsakh with
humanitarian aid.
“We would like to draw attention to the fact that
humanitarian aid for the people hit by a humanitarian crisis cannot be provided
by a country that is ready to offer them nothing but hatred, suffering and
pain. This aid cannot come at the expense of their dignity.
“We hope that the representatives of the European civil
society will make a sustained effort to carry out the actions that they
mentioned themselves,” reads the statement.
