Turkish army helicopter crashes

A CH-47 heavy transport helicopter belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces crashed during a training flight in the Temelli district of Ankara, according to Turkey’s defense ministry. Ermenihaber.am writes.

The ministry also called on the public to refrain from spreading unverified information.

“According to official sources, there were no fatalities as a result of the incident, and the condition of the crew is assessed as satisfactory. The five servicemen who were on board at the time of the crash were taken to hospital for medical examination.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined and will be clarified following an investigation. Rescue and other specialized teams are working at the scene, and the area has been cordoned off and placed under control for safety reasons,” the outlet notes.
